Runnells Christian Church is host to three youth groups. Any youth in the community are invited to join one
of the three youth groups. For more information call the church office or send an email from this website.
ΙΧθΟЅ
A new youth group has been established for youth who are in the 6th grade. This youth group has chosen
ΙΧθΟЅ for the name of their group. ΙΧθΟЅ
(Greek letters for Jesus Christ God Only Son). The symbol associated with this is the fish.
The group begins each meeting sharing in a meal with the other two youth groups, then go to their area
for lesson, games and other activities. Upcoming events include an outing with other youth groups
from neighboring Christian Churches, collecting food for the Christian Community Food Pantry and Christmas
shopping for their Seasons of Sharing Family.
The ΙΧθΟЅ group meets on the first and third Sundays of each month
from 5:30 to 7:30. Their primary leader is Katie Temple and parents each take a month assisting.
Pastor Alice is also helping with the group.
Chi Rho
Chi Rho are the Greek letters and the name of the Junior High youth group for those in 7th and 8th grades.
They also meet on the first and third Sundays of each month from 5:30 to 7:30. Their primary leaders are
Deb and Mike Bracewell. The Chi Rho begin with their shared meal and then join the CYF for a lesson,
games and fun activities. Upcoming events include a redeemable can/bottle drive to raise money to help
with Christmas Shopping for their Seasons of Sharing family. Other activities planned include a Corn Maze
and later Ice Skating.
CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship)
CYF is the Senior High youth group for those in 9th through 12th grades. This group meets every
Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:30+. Their primary leaders are Deb and Mike Bracewell. They always
begin with an evening meal and then go to the youth room for discussion or movies or other learning
exercises before they share in a hot game of ping pong or other activities. Upcoming events include
meeting with other youth groups from surrounding Christian Churches, Ice Skating and planning for
their mission trip.
